Deplan v1.4: Hide Members & Welcome to the Capy Camp 🏕️

Hey everyone! 👋

v1.4 is out now. We added two things we think you'll actually want: the ability to hide members from groups (because sometimes people just drift), and Capy Camp, our new premium subscription that removes ads and unlocks some new features down the line.

We've also squeezed out more performance improvements and fixed a bunch of smaller stuff that was causing friction.

Hide Members

You know that feeling when someone gets added to a group chat for a one-time thing, or you just don't hang out with them anymore? Deleting them is not really an option since they've participated in expenses, but having them sit there feels weird.

That's where hiding comes in. You can now hide members from your group edit options. They won't appear on the balances, nor in new expenses. But if they do open the group again, they'll automatically be unhidden, so that they don't need to know about this 👀. Perfect for those people who were part of your life for a moment and then moved on.

Capy Camp

We finally listened to everyone asking for a way to remove ads and support the app at the same time. Capy Camp is our premium subscription, and it does exactly that 🍊.

When you join Capy Camp, ads disappear and you get early access to new features we're cooking up. We're already working on themes, payment reminders to nudge people to actually settle their debts, ticket scanning for easier expense tracking, and more 🦦.

Performance & Everyday Fixes

Under the hood, we did a pretty big UI refactor on Android that should make everything feel snappier. On iOS, we added some quality-of-life stuff like being able to skip to the next field from the keyboard during onboarding.

We also fixed the thing where editing your info would shuffle your recent groups around, and a few other small annoyances.
